Turning Point USA Holds First Women’s Leadership Summit Since Kirk Death

Turning Point USA hosted its first annual women’s leadership summit in a San Antonio hotel ballroom after the death of cofounder Charlie Kirk last year. About 2,000 attendees heard speakers reframe messages on marriage, faith and feminism. Protests occurred outside the event.

Alex Clark, a Christian wellness influencer, opened the conference with a video of Kirk advising young women to marry and have children by age 30. Clark, who is in her early 30s and unmarried, acknowledged that the comments had stung but defended the underlying statistics.

Erika Kirk, now leading the organization, spoke about feminism as a worldview that treats women’s unique traits as obstacles. Other speakers included Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Riley Gaines, who discussed balancing career ambitions with conservative values.

Attendees expressed mixed feelings about past comments on marriage. Some, like Ann Dailey Moreno, recalled feeling unwelcome last year but appreciated efforts to soften the message. Outside, more than 100 activists protested with signs criticizing the group’s rhetoric.

Clark highlighted tensions with the Trump administration over pesticide policies and MAHA priorities. The event featured exhibits on wellness, biblical femininity and opposition to transgender athletes in sports.
