Two people caught on video tearing down SD posters

Media channel Riks released a video showing two people on electric scooters tearing down Sweden Democrats election posters in Henriksdal on July 10.

The incident took place at 23:07 in Henriksdal, an area on the border between Stockholm and Nacka. The video shows a man and a woman in their twenties pulling down large posters featuring Jimmie Åkesson and the text ”Sverige blir Sverige igen – rösta på Sverigedemokraterna”.

Party secretary Mattias Bäckström Johansson said the party will report the incident to the police. He noted that SD has historically faced sabotage against posters and ballots.

”There are good pictures of the people so there are good conditions for us to catch them”, he said. MP Tobias Andersson also shared the video and urged the public to tip off the police.
