Unilever and Mercado Libre to sell brands like Rexona and Axe in Colombia

Unilever has confirmed a deal with Mercado Libre to bring brands such as Rexona, Axe, Dove and Pond's to the e-commerce platform in Colombia. The partnership responds to a 30% growth in Unilever's digital sales since 2023 and aims to ease access to mass consumer products. Both companies highlight logistical efficiency and shifting Colombian shopping habits.

Unilever and Mercado Libre announced a strategic alliance in Colombia to integrate the multinational's brand portfolio into Latin America's leading e-commerce ecosystem. The deal lets consumers access beauty, personal care, home, and food products with options like interest-free installments.

Unilever's e-commerce sales have risen 30% since 2023, solidifying the channel as a growth driver. The company stresses being where consumers choose to shop, blending e-commerce and retail media into campaigns.

Mercado Libre provides logistics coverage across 31 of Colombia's 32 departments, with deliveries in 24 to 48 hours. "For Mercado Libre, partnering as Unilever's e-commerce ally reinforces our commitment to drive Colombia's digital economy," said Doménico Barbato, general manager for Colombia and Venezuela.

Tied to the upcoming football season, Unilever launches “La Tripleta Ganadora” initiative with ambassador Richard Ríos. "At Unilever, e-commerce is a key growth lever," stated Renato Banhara, manager for the Andean Region.
