Valle del Cauca campaign collects aid for Venezuela

The Valle del Cauca Governor’s Office invites residents to join the “Unidos por Venezuela” campaign ending Friday, July 10. The effort collects food and essential items for families affected by earthquakes in Venezuela on June 24.

Collection centers operate until Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Secretaría de Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres del Valle on Calle 8 # 5-70 in Cali and at La Obra Show Bar on Calle 15A Norte #8-31.

The campaign runs jointly with Fundación Kantoras, represented by Anabella Arbeláez. Governor Dilian Francisca Toro stated: “In coordination with Fundación Kantoras we have launched a collection campaign for non-perishable food to support families affected by the emergency in Venezuela”.

Requested items include non-perishable foods, grains, canned goods, sugar, coffee, salt, oil and personal hygiene products. Secretary Francisco Tenorio urged department residents to bring donations to the authorized sites.
