Zentrix survey: 86% of Argentines say their wages lose to inflation

A Zentrix survey reveals that 86.1% of Argentines believe their income does not outpace inflation. 64% rate the country's economic situation as bad or very bad.

Zentrix's June Public Opinion Monitor, based on 1,297 cases conducted between June 15 and 22, 2026, shows President Javier Milei's disapproval fell to 56.6% and approval stabilized at 33.2%. However, 61% of respondents reach at most until the 20th of the month with their income.

68.8% of those surveyed maintain that the INDEC inflation index does not reflect the price variations they perceive in daily life. In an open question, "corruption" was the most repeated term as the country's main problem, followed by "Milei".

55.1% of Argentines believe that economically "the worst is yet to come". Among La Libertad Avanza voters, 55.4% think the worst has passed, while among opponents that figure drops to 3.4%.
