Amazon Games has announced that its MMO New World: Aeternum will go offline on January 31, 2027, following a delisting from digital stores on January 15, 2026. The decision comes after the game received no new content beyond the 2025 Nighthaven seasonal update, amid ongoing challenges for Amazon's gaming division. Players who own the game can continue accessing it until the servers shut down.
Following the reveal at The Game Awards 2025, Crystal Dynamics has elaborated on Tomb Raider Catalyst (2027 mainline sequel) and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (2026 remake), confirming Catalyst's placement years after Tomb Raider: Underworld—with the Survivor trilogy as Lara Croft's origin—while highlighting shared development resources, a key Amazon Game Studios partnership, and a broader multimedia franchise including a live-action TV series.

Ubisoft has acquired the Amazon Games Montreal studio and the rights to its upcoming MOBA title, March of Giants, following Amazon's significant cutbacks in its gaming division.
