Battlefield Studios will overhaul the gunplay in Battlefield 6 starting 30 June to make it feel closer to Battlefield 4. The final update for Season 3 will adjust weapon recoil, muzzle velocity and damage multipliers across all weapons.

Multiplayer servers for Battlefield Hardline on Xbox and PlayStation will shut down permanently on June 22. EA announced the closure earlier this year as part of a two-stage process. The single-player campaign will remain available after the servers go offline.

Battlefield 6 has launched its Winter Offensive update on December 9, 2025, introducing a time-limited winter-themed map and a new melee weapon. The patch includes gameplay improvements and a bonus Battle Pass track for seasonal rewards. DICE has released the 1.1.3.0 update for Battlefield 6 on December 5, 2025, introducing the Winter Offensive limited-time event. This update features a frozen variant of the Empire State map called Ice Lock Empire State, along with new event modes using a Freeze mechanic. Players can also unlock an ice-climbing axe that doubles as a melee weapon through the event's bonus path.
