Multiplayer servers for Battlefield Hardline on Xbox and PlayStation will shut down permanently on June 22. EA announced the closure earlier this year as part of a two-stage process. The single-player campaign will remain available after the servers go offline.

DICE has released the 1.1.3.0 update for Battlefield 6 on December 5, 2025, introducing the Winter Offensive limited-time event. This update features a frozen variant of the Empire State map called Ice Lock Empire State, along with new event modes using a Freeze mechanic. Players can also unlock an ice-climbing axe that doubles as a melee weapon through the event's bonus path.
