Indonesia's Traffic Corps (Korlantas) Polri has banned three-axle vehicles from using toll roads during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 period. The policy follows a Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) and cross-agency coordination. The main focus is on public safety and smooth travel.
The Directorate General of Land Transportation under the Ministry of Transportation has assured readiness for managing traffic flow at the Merak-Bakauheni crossing during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays. This route is the most favored based on public mobility surveys, necessitating structured management. Key strategies include port allocation by vehicle category and implementation of a delaying system.
