Kenyan Cornelius Chepkok won the 42K at the Santiago Marathon with 33,000 runners, while Chilean Hugo Catrileo finished third after dropping his water bottle. Ethiopian Tigst Belew won the women's category with a record time. Carlos Díaz took third in the 21K.
