Björklöven is returning to the SHL and appears poised for a leadership change ahead of the new season. Former chief executive Anders Blomberg is expected to be elected chairman at the club's annual meeting on June 23.
Andreas Dunder is stepping down as chairman. Anders Blomberg, who served as the club's chief executive from 2018 to 2024, has been in discussions with the nomination committee and has agreed to be proposed for the board. Blomberg told Västerbottens-Kuriren that he is ready to contribute his experience from six years as chief executive. He highlighted his knowledge of the hockey industry, the organization, and his network within the sport. The 50-year-old said he had told the club he would be willing to help if his services were needed. The annual meeting on June 23 is expected to formalize the transition.
