Baron Corbin made his WWE return on the July 10 episode of SmackDown, interrupting a United States Championship match between Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes.
Corbin attacked both competitors and held up the title belt after the interruption. The former United States Champion had last wrestled for the company in 2024.
Donovan Dijak, who teamed with Corbin as the Skyscrapers in MLW, reacted positively on social media. He shared WWE's video of the return and wrote, "Hell yeah – Best in the World."
Corbin had been stripped of the MLW World Tag Team Championship due to storyline contract disputes before his WWE comeback. The announcers referred to him by his original name upon his return.
