Big four lead MLB power rankings at season midpoint

The Dodgers, Braves, Brewers and Yankees have pulled ahead of the rest of Major League Baseball as the league reaches its midway point this week. Their combined run differential stands at plus 480 while the other 26 teams sit at minus 480.

The four teams occupy the top spots in the latest MLB power rankings for the week of June 21. The Yankees hold the fourth-best record in baseball and trail the leaders by just two games. The Braves are on pace for 102 wins despite a recent six-game losing streak before their series win over the Brewers.

The Yankees have won nine of their last 13 games while missing Aaron Judge and Max Fried. The Brewers dropped their most recent series in Atlanta but remain among the top teams after a strong stretch since late April.

The Rays sit fifth, two games behind the Yankees. The separation at the top is described as larger than in recent seasons, with no other club exceeding a plus-21 run differential.
