Boyfriend of Lourdes Fernández detained after police raid

Police detained Leandro García Gómez, boyfriend of singer Lourdes Fernández, after raiding his home in Buenos Aires province. The artist was with him during the operation and was taken to a hospital. The arrest comes amid prior gender violence allegations and a recent missing person alert.

On October 23, 2025, the mother of Lourdes Fernández, known as Lowrdez from Bandana, filed a missing person report, sparking concern in the entertainment world. Hours later, police located her via video call, confirming she was in Buenos Aires province with her partner, Leandro García Gómez, a businessman and former political figure with a judicial past.

The singer's father, Omar Fernández, downplayed the situation in media statements, saying he was in constant contact with his daughter and that she had the flu. 'I called her, she's got the flu and, as far as I know, she's not at that person's house,' he said. However, he admitted past tensions: 'I don't have a good relationship with Leandro and, as a father, more than once I fantasized about grabbing a baseball bat and breaking his knees.' He acknowledged real bruises on his daughter and a reconciliation after a withdrawn complaint, but noted the relationship ended over 20 days ago.

Lourdes's best friend, Ioja, voiced serious concern on TN Central: 'I know he kicked her on the floor' and 'her voice sounds off, I think he strangled her,' describing a 'super toxic relationship.' After being found, Fernández posted on social media about Bandana's future, despite health worries.

On October 24, by court order, police raided García Gómez's home and detained him. Lourdes was present and taken to a hospital for examination. No further details on her condition or exact charges against the detainee have been disclosed.
