Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel outlined two main changes the Pittsburgh Steelers must make to succeed on offense this season.
Chase Daniel said the Steelers have a strong core at wide receiver with Michael Pittman, DK Metcalf and rookie Germie Bernard. He stressed the need to throw the ball downfield more often. Daniel pointed to the Steelers' low average of 6.0 intended air yards per attempt last season under Aaron Rodgers. Daniel also called for a better running game. He noted the team ran the ball just 37 percent of the time in one recent season and ranked 28th in rush attempts in 2025. The Steelers added running back Rico Dowdle, who exceeded 1,000 rushing yards in each of the past two seasons, and plan to give him and Jaylen Warren equal opportunities.
