Walt Disney World has updated its Early Theme Park Entry program at Magic Kingdom, adding the reopened Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin to the lineup. The changes aim to distribute guests more evenly across the park during the initial 30 minutes before official opening. Additional character meets will join the program this summer.
Early Theme Park Entry allows guests at Disney Resort hotels to enter Magic Kingdom 30 minutes before the general public. Previously, participants clustered around rides such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Peter Pan’s Flight, creating bottlenecks. The program now includes Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, which reopened after months of closure with updated vehicles, improved blasters, and a new opening scene in Tomorrowland. This addition spreads crowds toward that area early in the day. Guests often scan in up to 45 minutes before Early Entry begins, filling Main Street, U.S.A., but cast members hold general admission visitors back from lands like Tomorrowland and Fantasyland until eligible guests proceed first. The expanded lineup also features Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, offering varied options for families and thrill-seekers alike. From late May through early September, select Disney characters will appear for meets during this window, potentially drawing some visitors away from rides and further balancing flows. These adjustments help manage high demand at the park without major disruptions.
