The southwest monsoon is forecast to cause rainy conditions over parts of northern Luzon on Saturday, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 5 a.m. forecast that the habagat would bring isolated thunderstorms to Ilocos Region, Apayao, Abra, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Zambales.
Localized thunderstorms are expected to continue across the rest of the country, including Metro Manila.
PAGASA weather specialist Veronica Torres stated that widespread and prolonged rains are not anticipated at this time, though the monsoon may bring more rain in coming days.
No low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones are currently being monitored.
