Humorist Marie s’infiltre leaves France Inter morning show

Humorist Marie s’infiltre will not return to France Inter's morning show after the Toussaint holidays. Her two-and-a-half-month stint drew listener criticism and failed to convince the station. The management says she will now focus on her tour.

Marie s’infiltre joined France Inter's "Grande matinale" at the end of August, sharing the daily 8:55 humor slot with François Morel, Sophia Aram, David Castello-Lopez, and Mosimann. Her stint lasted only two and a half months, as revealed by Le Parisien. From her first appearances on the public station, listeners voiced criticisms on social media, including: “If you think time passes quickly, listen to this chronicle,” “My God, this blandness! We're close to nothingness here...” and “On France Inter, it's confirmed week after week: the so-called 'Marie s’infiltre' is desperately not funny.”

On September 29, during her appearance on "C à vous," the humorist defended herself: “In audacity, there's this ethic of daring to displease. [...] I'm not here to make people laugh, that's not my goal.” Despite this, her provocative tone did not win universal approval. Her last chronicle, the seventh, was on October 6. After the schedule disruption on October 13, the eve of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu's general policy statement, comedian Thomas Poitevin, as the character Véro Clederman-Pilouchet, took over the following week.

France Inter's management succinctly announced: “After accompanying us since the start of the school year, Marie s’infiltre will now fully dedicate herself to her tour,” declining further comments on the reasons for this departure. Fans can catch her live at Paris's Accor Arena on December 20 for the final date of her French tour with her show Culot.
