International livestock breeding conference inaugurated in Addis Ababa

The international conference and exhibition on animal breeding and health has been inaugurated at Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa. Over 5,000 participants from East Africa and global countries will attend. The event runs for three consecutive days.

Addis Ababa, Hidar 20, 2018 (EFM) – The international conference and exhibition on animal breeding and health, attended by over 5,000 participants from East Africa and global countries, has been inaugurated at Millennium Hall.

Starting today, the conference and exhibition will run for three consecutive days, with over 100 livestock sector leaders, country ambassadors, and experts from 14 countries participating. The event focuses on advanced livestock breeding technology, goals, and solutions.

It aims to identify livestock market chains and investment opportunities. Additionally, it seeks to exchange best practices from successful countries in the sector and scale them up.

With government support and private sector initiatives, the four-year program targets increasing production of milk, eggs, mutton, and honey at a high level.
