Invest Pacific leads Valle del Cauca business mission in Madrid

Invest Pacific is leading a business mission from Valle del Cauca in Madrid, Spain, running until May 8. The effort aims to connect with Spanish firms in agroindustry, logistics, and renewable energy. It is organized in partnership with the Valle del Cauca Governor's Office and ProColombia.

Juan Carlos Castro, executive director of Invest Pacific, is leading the Valle del Cauca business mission in Madrid, Spain. The event, running until May 8, focuses on agroindustry, logistics, and renewable energies.

Daniella Guzmán, manager of agroindustry, logistics, and renewable energy at Invest Pacific, stated that "Spain is not a new market for Valle del Cauca: it is a strategic partner with more than US$740 million invested in our region and over 1,900 jobs generated". She added: "This mission to Madrid, Murcia, and Valencia seeks to deepen that relationship and open conversations with Spanish companies ready to take the next step toward Latin America, with Valle del Cauca as the gateway".

Valle del Cauca contributes 35.3% of Colombia's agricultural production and has 708,950 hectares suitable for agroindustrial crops. In logistics, it serves as a regional hub with Puerto de Buenaventura, an international airport, and free trade zones. For renewables, it features high solar irradiation, agroindustrial waste, and benefits under Law 1715, alongside the "Valle Verde" strategy.

Guzmán highlighted competitive advantages: "We have the conditions to offer them a competitive platform, with preferential access to more than 60 markets and logistics infrastructure serving Colombia's main consumption and distribution centers".
