World No. 1 Jannik Sinner admitted at the Wimbledon Ball that he has failed to obtain a motorcycle license four times. The Italian made the revelation during the July 13 ceremony in London.
Sinner, a resident of Monaco, holds a Class B license that permits him to operate a Vespa scooter. He must complete additional steps for a Class A motorcycle license, including accredited training, a written exam, a maneuverability test, and a supervised drive evaluation.
“I’ve failed it four times. Before coming here, I failed once again,” Sinner said. “I don’t know. Maybe next year you’ll ask the same question.” The comment prompted laughter from the audience.
The 24-year-old already possesses a four-wheeler license and serves as an ambassador for Alfa Romeo. He owns vehicles including an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Q4 Veloce and a Ferrari 812 Competizione, and frequently attends Formula 1 events.
