Kiefer Ravena to remain in Japan B.League with new team

Filipino guard Kiefer Ravena confirmed he will continue playing in Japan’s B.League next season after ending his contract with the Yokohama B-Corsairs. He declined to name his new team but said the move keeps his overseas career going.

Ravena spoke to reporters on Saturday at the B.League Final Week event held at SM Megamall. “I think I still want to play overseas. My body can still do it and I’m going back to Japan next season,” he said. He added that he had ended his deal with Yokohama and would switch clubs, though he asked fans to wait for the announcement.

Ravena began his time in the league with the Shiga Lakes, where he contributed to their B2 Division title in 2024. He later joined Yokohama, helping the team to a 26-34 record this past season while averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game.

The guard expressed hope that more Filipino players will reach the B.League finals soon. He noted the growing presence of compatriots such as Quentin Millora-Brown and AJ Edu in the competition.
