Knocked Loose release new single 'Hive Mind' with Denzel Curry

Knocked Loose have collaborated with Denzel Curry on their new single 'Hive Mind', blending metalcore and trap elements. The track's video was filmed at a skate park in the band's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Frontman Bryan Garris described the partnership as a long-discussed idea that required someone who 'gets it'.

Knocked Loose, the Kentucky-based metalcore band, released 'Hive Mind' on February 10, 2026, featuring rapper Denzel Curry. The single marks their first new music since the 2024 album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, which included the Grammy-nominated track 'Suffocate' with Poppy.

The song combines the band's heavy riffs with Curry's rapid-fire lyrics, addressing themes of conformity and group-think. Curry raps: “Everybody wanna dick-ride/When you don’t follow the trend, you getting crucified/Got you leaning on the one side/When you lean the other way it’s social suicide.” Garris contributes: “Do you feel shame when you’re all alone?/No sense of self or thoughts of your own/Pretend it’s true, nothing less/Same old leash tied to me/Just a different fucking dress.”

The music video, directed by Garris and Eric Richter, was shot at the David Armstrong Extreme Park in Louisville. It depicts a lively gathering at the skate park, tying into the track's energetic vibe. Garris explained the collaboration: “This is something we’ve talked about doing for a long time. We wondered if we could pull it off and who would be down. In the very beginning, we said for it to work, it would have to be Denzel Curry. Because he gets it.” Curry previously demonstrated his affinity for metal by covering Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls on Parade” in 2019.

Reflecting on their sound, Garris affirmed: “We’re a heavy band and we’re always going to be a heavy band.” The band has upcoming tours, including supporting Metallica and Bring Me The Horizon in Europe this summer, as well as appearances at Slam Dunk Festival, Primavera Sound, Sick New World in Las Vegas in April, and a show in Dallas in October.
