London Fashion Week will run from September 17 to 21 with a lineup of established and emerging British designers. The British Fashion Council announced the provisional schedule on Friday, highlighting a return of key brands to the capital.
The event will feature Alexander McQueen back on home turf under creative director Seán McGirr. Christopher Kane will debut his first collection for Mulberry after his appointment as creative director in March.
Marks & Spencer plans a co-ed see-now buy-now runway show to mark 100 years in fashion. Other returning names include Barbour on day one and Burberry at the close of the week, along with Erdem, Simone Rocha and Roksanda.
New runway debuts will come from Sweden’s Petra Fagerström and designers Francesca Lake and Gui Rosa, all supported by the BFC’s NEWGEN programme. Fashion East will also remain on the schedule.
BFC chief executive Laura Weir said the season marks an exciting moment for London Fashion Week and reflects the confidence of British fashion today. Additional events will include presentations at Dover Street Market and a pre-loved show organised with eBay.
