Man charged with second-degree murder after fiancee found dead in tote

Richard Michael Robinson faces charges in two states for the death of his fiancee Meihong "Kiki" He. Authorities say he kept her body in a plastic container for months before hiding it in a storage unit.

A probable cause affidavit states that a medical examiner determined the cause of death as asphyxiation and that He was alive when placed in the tote, which was packed with charcoal briquettes.

The affidavit says Robinson drove with the body in his truck for days, including to his daughter's birthday party. He remains in the Klickitat County Jail. His next court date in the Oregon case is scheduled for Aug. 18.
