Manpreet Singh equals 412 caps record but India loses to Netherlands

Veteran midfielder Manpreet Singh equalled Dilip Tirkey's record of 412 international appearances as India lost 2-3 to the Netherlands in the FIH Men's Pro League on June 14, 2026.

The match took place in Rotterdam. India came back from behind twice but could not prevent the hosts from scoring the winner through Tijmen Reyenga in the 40th minute.

Dilpreet Singh scored for India in the ninth minute and Sukhjeet Singh equalised again in the 33rd minute. Miles Bukkens and Koen Bijen scored the other goals for the Netherlands.
