An Oregon man who killed a woman and cashed her winning lottery ticket has been sentenced to life in prison.
Jason David Perillo, 52, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Thursday in connection with the death of Catherine Grace Crosse.
Crosse, 41, was found stabbed about 30 times in the face and neck inside her RV in Wilsonville on Dec. 31, 2024. Prosecutors said Perillo, a customer buying drugs from Crosse, was captured on video entering the RV and leaving two hours later with items including a lottery ticket worth $400.05.
Perillo bought a truck for $2,000 and gave $1,000 to his wife shortly after the killing. He cashed the ticket four days later. As part of a plea deal, charges of first-degree murder and robbery were dismissed.
Perillo was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
