The Baltimore Orioles have signed right-hander Kyle Bradish to a five-year contract extension worth $90 million. The deal covers the 2027 through 2031 seasons and was announced by the team last week.
Baltimore made the announcement after Bradish posted a 3.61 ERA in 19 starts this season. The 29-year-old right-hander has a 3.50 ERA across 86 starts for the Orioles since 2022.
Orioles owner David Rubenstein said in a statement that keeping players of Bradish’s caliber is part of the club’s long-term vision. General manager Mike Elias added that the extension reflects ownership’s commitment to building a competitive team.
Manager Craig Albernaz called the deal a great marriage between the player and the organization. Left-hander Trevor Rogers said Bradish is set for life after overcoming Tommy John surgery.
The extension makes Bradish the highest-paid pitcher in Orioles history. It follows similar deals for catcher Samuel Basallo and right-hander Shane Baz over the past year.
