Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 2 launched on April 14, adding Sierra as the 51st hero—a drone-wielding damage dealer from Helix security. Building on last week's announcement, the update features Soldier: 76's first mythic skin, Antarctic Peninsula map rework, new game modes, post-match accolades, lobby voice chat, and a Diablo collaboration.
Overwatch's Reign of Talon Season 2, the second in the post-Overwatch 2 era, launched today, April 14, following Blizzard's announcement of new damage hero Sierra as the 51st playable character. Previously teased in the Summit Breach trailer with her plasma rifle, arm bot grappling hook, and plasma missile barrage, Sierra hails from the Helix security faction (previously linked to Pharah) and deploys drones in combat.
Major updates accompany her debut: Soldier: 76's first mythic skin, Volted Overdrive, transforms him into a neon-lit cyborg with customizable variants, including a blonde-haired youthful look, obtainable via mythic prisms. Genji gains a mythic weapon skin, while Ramattra joins Stadium mode.
The Antarctic Peninsula map receives a full rework. New skins are available, alongside post-match accolades highlighting top damage, objective contributions, and more. Players can now use match-wide voice chat lobbies. A special Diablo collaboration adds thematic flair.
This season continues Reign of Talon's expansion arc, with four more heroes planned this year—one per season—building on February's debut.
