The Producers Guild of America announced dates for its 38th annual PGA Awards on February 27, 2027, and the 39th on February 19, 2028. The guild also revealed a detailed voting timeline for the 2027 ceremony. The announcement follows similar schedules from the Academy Awards and SAG-AFTRA's Actor Awards.
The Producers Guild of America, which represents more than 8,400 members in film, television and emerging media, made the announcement on Monday. The 2027 ceremony falls during final Oscar voting and the day before The Actor Awards on February 28. The 2028 Oscars are set for March 5, with The Actor Awards on February 20 the following year, while the 99th Oscars take place on March 14, 2027, and the 100th on March 5, 2028, as previously announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and SAG-AFTRA. The PGA Awards recognize excellence in 14 competitive categories across film and TV, plus special honors like the PGA Innovation Award and career achievement prizes. At its most recent 2026 ceremony at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures went to producers of Warner Bros.' 'One Battle After Another,' directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, with Sara Murphy and the late Adam Somner. That film later won the Academy Award for best picture. Television winners included HBO Max's 'The Pitt,' Apple TV's 'The Studio,' and Netflix's 'Adolescence,' with additional honors to 'KPop Demon Hunters' and 'Traitors.' Special awards went to Amy Pascal for the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures, Jason Blum for the Milestone Award, and Mara Brock Akil for the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television. Every PGA top film winner this decade since 2020 has gone on to win the Oscar for best picture. For the 2027 awards, eligibility covers films and programs from January 1 to December 31, 2026, except the Innovation Award from October 2, 2025, to October 1, 2026. Key deadlines include producing credits forms from August 28 to October 9, 2026; nomination voting from November 24, 2026, to January 7, 2027; and final voting from January 18 to February 19, 2027. Nominations will be announced starting December 8, 2026.
