An 18-year-old man stands accused of four counts of attempted murder after placing a homemade bomb outside a high school in Rättvik in January.
The trial opened on Tuesday in Mora Tingsrätt. The prosecutor claims the act was revenge directed at the school and two staff members. According to witnesses the suspect placed a package on a car hood on 21 January. The package was wrapped in red Christmas paper and contained a shoebox filled with screws and metal balls. The bomb was built to detonate if the lid was lifted. The teenager admits constructing the bomb and several 3D-printed firearms. He denies the attempted murder charges. His lawyer states he never intended to harm anyone.
