uHoo debuts Caeli air quality monitor at CES 2026

At CES 2026, uHoo unveiled the Caeli home air quality monitor, which tracks nine indoor air aspects and introduces a novel influenza index to assess flu risk. The device combines sensor data with virology research to provide a 1-to-10 score indicating the likelihood of viral spread. Priced at $200 for preorder, Caeli is set for release in February.

The Caeli monitor from uHoo represents an ambitious step in home air quality tracking, debuting at CES 2026 with enhanced features aimed at health monitoring. Unlike typical devices, Caeli measures dust, temperature, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), carbon dioxide (CO2), humidity, and four other aspects, making it larger and sensor-packed. It supports Matter compatibility for seamless integration with Apple, Google, and Alexa ecosystems.

A standout addition is the influenza index, which analyzes sensor readings alongside decades of virology research to generate a risk score from 1 to 10. Scores of 1 to 3 indicate low viral transmission risk, while a 10 signals the highest likelihood of catching the flu or similar illnesses. Factors like rising humidity, warmer temperatures, and increased particulate matter elevate the score, helping users take preventive actions such as activating air purifiers or encouraging masking.

Caeli also features a mold index to detect spore spread risks, particularly in humid environments. Its CO and CO2 monitors support ongoing health vigilance, even without symptoms, and particulate tracking aids during allergy seasons.

Available for preorder at $200, the monitor launches in February, with prices expected to rise afterward. uHoo positions Caeli as a comprehensive tool for maintaining indoor air health, though its performance awaits independent testing.
