Microsoft released its June Patch Tuesday update for Windows 11 on June 10, introducing a low-latency profile and other performance improvements. The update also patches 206 security vulnerabilities.
The update, identified as KB5094126 for OS Builds 26200.8655 and 26100.8655, focuses on faster system navigation. A new low-latency profile boosts CPU speed briefly when users open elements like the Start Menu or apps. Windows Search now displays results after two characters, and app downloads from the Windows Store have been sped up. Additional features include shared audio for two Bluetooth headphones, multi-app camera support, and NPU monitoring tools in Task Manager. Microsoft addressed a critical kernel-level remote code execution vulnerability rated 9.8 in severity. The company noted that AI tools are aiding vulnerability discovery on a larger scale.
