Zverev said after the win: «I want to win the matches that are ahead of me - that is my goal.» Tennis expert Boris Becker praised the performance on Eurosport as «the best performance by Sascha Zverev at this tournament».
The 29-year-old from Hamburg showed clear dominance after a shaky start and relied especially on his backhand.
