Lt. gen. yilma merdasa, chief of the Ethiopian air force, met with residents of bishoftu town and surroundings to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the air force's founding. He stated that the force has been built to defend national sovereignty and is now being developed as an institution bringing greatness to Ethiopians. He called for unity in honoring the day.
