Domestic incident

Police in Shiwa town, Iwate Prefecture, arrested a 30-year-old man on Friday on suspicion of attempting to strangle his wife to death. The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Thursday at their home. The wife suffered neck abrasions but is not in life-threatening condition after calling emergency services.
