191 pass geologists licensure exam in November 2025

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 191 out of 296 candidates passed the Geologists Computer-Based Licensure Examination held in the National Capital Region in November 2025. The exam was administered by the Board of Geology, with results released immediately after the final day. Online registration for professional identification cards and certificates will begin on January 26, 2026.

In November 2025, the Board of Geology conducted the Computer-Based Licensure Examination for geologists in the National Capital Region. The board members included Hon. Fernando S. Peñarroyo as chairman, along with Hon. Benjamin S. Austria and Hon. Elmer B. Billedo as members. Out of 296 candidates, 191 passed, reflecting the outcome of the examination process.

Results were released immediately following the last day of the exam, enabling prompt progression for new professionals. Registration for the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will commence online starting January 26, 2026, via the PRC website at www.prc.gov.ph. Successful examinees must bring a downloaded Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission for identification purposes, two passport-sized colored photos with white background and full name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope. They are required to register in person and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony for the new geologists will be announced subsequently. Top performing schools are to be recognized per Commission Resolution No. 1814 of 2024, while the ten highest-placing examinees have been identified, with full details available in the complete results on the PRC site. This examination underscores the PRC's ongoing commitment to streamlined licensure for geology professionals in the Philippines.
