Esmat outlined Egypt's target to reach 45 percent renewable energy in electricity generation by 2028. He stressed the need for advanced technology to support this goal, including better grid flexibility and expanded storage capacity. The talks also addressed localisation of industries, technology transfer, and training programmes. Officials reviewed EPPEI's experience in China's power sector reforms and clean energy projects.
