Ethiopia and Italy signed a 70 million euro loan agreement today. The deal supports economic reforms and development projects in Ethiopia.
The loan agreement was signed by Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and Italian Ambassador to Ethiopia Sem Fabrizi.
Ahmed Shide said the long-term loan will fund domestic economic reforms and development work. He added that it strengthens the historical ties between the two nations.
The Italian government expressed continued support for Ethiopia's reform and development efforts. The deal forms part of prior cooperation frameworks between the countries.
