The actor, who two weeks ago portrayed the annoying yet endearing Reini – brother of Detective Berg – in a Black Forest Tatort, appears here as an internal investigator. He probes Kulina, embodying a cold, bureaucratic figure who speaks down from a superior position without overdoing the chill. Hohnloser adds his own nuances, appearing so transformed that viewers must check the credits to connect him to the previous role.
