Aquiles Ferreira da Silva, 18, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon (March 18) by Federal District Civil Police agents. He stands accused of a brutal January homicide alongside three teenagers, where the victim suffered 53 stab wounds and died at the scene.
A preventive arrest warrant for Aquiles Ferreira da Silva had been open since January, when the crime took place in the Paranoá area. The Violent Crimes Investigation Section (SICVIO) of the 6th Police Station executed the order on Wednesday (March 18), after the suspect had been at large for about two months. In addition to the homicide, he faces charges for attempted murder. According to the Federal District Civil Police (PCDF), the group attacked the victims with knife stabs and brick blows. The fatal victim sustained 53 stab wounds across the body and died at the scene. The probe highlighted the assailants' coldness: they recorded videos of stabbing the victim and later filmed the body in a public street, posting the footage on social media. The three participating teenagers have been identified. Following the arrest, Aquiles was taken to the Prisoner Control and Custody Division (DCCP/PCDF), remaining at the court's disposal.
