On day 12 of Jungle Camp, singer Gil Ofarim unexpectedly apologized for his 2021 scandal. He soon fell during a jungle trial and was taken to the hospital. Actor Stephen Dürr was the first to be eliminated.
In the twelfth episode of the RTL show 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' in Australia, Gil Ofarim caused a stir. The 43-year-old singer referred to the 2021 incident where he falsely accused antisemitism at a Leipzig hotel and later had to retract his claims.
Ofarim said: "The incident took place in Leipzig, but the incident and everything I can say about it had nothing to do with the city of Leipzig. It had nothing to do with the state of Saxony and it was never meant to come across that way. If it did, I apologize to the citizens of Leipzig and everyone who still feels addressed in Saxony."
During the jungle trial, which involved jumping from a floating pontoon to catch a ball for a star, Ofarim slipped and lay there. Jungle doctor Dr. Bob examined him on site neurologically and traumatologically, found no abnormalities, but sent him to the hospital for an X-ray as a precaution. The tests showed nothing, and Ofarim returned to camp: "Nothing is broken, nothing is damaged. Lucky." He received a banana sandwich for his medications.
Additionally, Stephen Dürr (51) was eliminated with the fewest viewer votes. The actor and singer said: "It was a lot of fun for me. It was a great journey." He had expected to be voted out earlier. Now eight candidates remain for the jungle crown.
