Maximum temperatures were more than 4°C above normal, while nighttime temperatures ranged between 21°C and nearly 29°C statewide.

According to the IMD forecast, no major change in maximum temperatures is expected until April 28, after which a gradual fall of 2-3°C is likely. Temperatures are very likely to remain in the 41-45°C range in inland pockets of Gujarat and 35-40°C in isolated coastal areas.
