Argentine justice cited the manager of the building on Miró street where Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni lives, amid a probe into alleged illicit enrichment. Meanwhile, Karina Milei publicly backed the official with a trip to Vaca Muerta alongside YPF's head. Key witnesses to his apartment purchase handed over their phones for analysis.
Federal courts at Comodoro Py are advancing in the case against Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni for alleged illicit enrichment. On Wednesday, they cited the manager of the building on Miró street, where Adorni resides, to gather firsthand details on renovations to his apartment.
Retirees Beatriz Viegas and Claudia Sbabo, original owners who sold the property to Adorni, testified and surrendered their cell phones. Viegas stated she did not know Adorni personally and that her son, Pablo Martín Feijoo, handled the entire negotiation. Sbabo said her stepson, Leandro Miano, managed her share of the sale, bought with personal savings, and she receives a pension of about 350,000 pesos. Notary Adriana Nechevenko confirmed Feijoo arranged the deal, and he is cited for next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Karina Milei, president of La Libertad Avanza, backed Adorni with a tour on Thursday to Vaca Muerta in Neuquén alongside YPF head Horacio Marín. The event is seen as political shielding amid judicial pressure and internal party voices likening his situation to that of José Luis Espert.
Adorni is scheduled to appear before the Chamber of Deputies on April 29 for his management report, amid party tensions and opposition criticism.
