The tenth anniversary of La La Land will be marked with a special concert event at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The presentation forms part of the Cartier Cinema Club programming and will feature a live performance of the film's soundtrack alongside a screening.
The event is scheduled to take place at Teatro La Fenice in Venice. It will include Justin Hurwitz conducting the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonia Veneta, with pianist Randy Kerber also performing. Damien Chazelle, the film's director, is set to attend.
The concert is presented in collaboration with Lionsgate and Hurwitz Concerts. Tickets will be free and go on sale August 4 via the Teatro La Fenice website. Hurwitz said the occasion in the city where the film premiered a decade ago represents a personal highlight.
Lionsgate plans to re-release the movie on August 16. A separate concert is also scheduled for August 1 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
