Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly has shared his prediction for cornerback Joey Porter Jr.'s upcoming contract extension.
Kaboly expects the deal to be a four-year, $112 million extension with roughly $40 million guaranteed. Including the $4 million owed this year, the total would reach five years and $116 million.
The projection would average $28 million annually. That figure would place Porter above Jalen Ramsey and among the top five cornerbacks by annual value, behind Trent McDuffie, Sauce Gardner, Derek Stingley Jr., and Jaycee Horn.
Porter is young and performed strongly late in the 2025 season. Other young cornerbacks such as Christian Gonzalez, Devon Witherspoon, and DJ Turner II are also awaiting big contracts, giving Porter reason to delay signing.
