Media company sues Folkets Hus in Borlänge over canceled show

The company 100 Procent Sverige AB has filed a lawsuit against Folkets Hus in Borlänge and is demanding just over 183,000 kronor in damages.

On June 5, debaters Jan Emanuel, Aron Flam and Henrik Jönsson were to hold an event at Folkets Hus in Borlänge. Current political issues ahead of the 2026 election were to be discussed.

Shortly before the event, Folkets Hus announced that the show was no longer welcome. They stated that the main reason was that Aron Flam is charged with threatening a politician. Instead, a square meeting was held.

Now 100 Procent, Henrik Jönsson's media company, is demanding 183,090 kronor from Folkets Hus. They argue that Folkets Hus's actions constitute a significant breach of contract.

– It is clear that one does not want to take it to court. But it is about lost revenue, says Marie Söderqvist, CEO of the company.

Folkets Hus has stated that 100 Procent indicated a different reason than the real one for the event in the agreement. Pia-Lena Andersson, chair of Folkets Hus in Borlänge, writes that they will uphold the right to terminate the contract.
