A train stoppage between Gothenburg and Stockholm on Tuesday left six MPs at risk of missing the 15:30 vote on the Spring Budget amendment.
Four of the MPs rushed into the chamber toward the end of the voting. The Tidö parties' proposals passed by a one-vote margin both before and after their arrival. Linda Lindberg, group leader for the Sweden Democrats, said two trains had experienced problems and that MPs from both the opposition and the Tidö parties were stuck. She added that the majority situation appeared to hold. Due to issues with the pairing system all MPs had to be present for the Tidö parties' bills to pass. Two of the stranded MPs belonged to the opposition.
