Chief Commissioner Mesfin Arreya (Prof.) stated, "The Tigray region now needs a national election as a key tool to exit the crisis it has entered." He emphasized that the issue goes beyond mere quotas and involves displacement, noting that Tigray's election commission is not fully operational.
The commission provided explanations on its ongoing work agreements and future activities, responding to questions about preparations to start the election process in Tigray. It addressed challenges encountered in the process and urged stakeholders to pray for solutions to the problems and share their views to ensure the process's success.
