Ngetich misses world record due to strong winds

Agnes Jebet Ngetich defended her Valencia Half Marathon title in Spain on October 26, 2025, but strong headwinds denied her the world record, finishing in 1:03:08. That time is the best of the year and third fastest in history. She earned a Sh5.2 million bonus for her victory.
